The assessment of the design thinking boot camp will consist of evaluations by the instructors of 4 presentations and 1 reflection paper. The schedule dictates that there will a presentation at the start of each day. After the last day, each group will be required to turn in a reflection paper. (You may determine the deadline for this final paper.) The presentations and the paper will be evaluated quantitatively by you, the teacher, either on your own or in concert with other instructors. Each element will be given a score of 1 to 4. Use the rubric (embedded and attached below) to score the presentations and the paper. The total possible points will be 20 (5 x 4). This can be converted into a percentage or a letter grade if that is appropriate.
In addition to the quantitative assessment outlined above, you should also create a qualitative evaluation that focuses on the objectives outlined in the introduction. It is recommended that about a page be written for each participating team.
